MIG WELDING

The "Metal" in Gas Metal Arc Welding refers to the wire that is used to start the arc. It is shielded by inert gas and the feeding wire also acts as the filler rod. MIG is fairly easy to learn and use as it is a semi-automatic welding process.

HAMMERS & HACKSAWS

1.What is the name of the hammer most commonly used in automotive engineering? ANSWER- Ball Pein or engineers hammer 2.what would you typically use one for? ANSWER- Used for flattening or peining a rivet. 3.why would you use a soft faced hammer? ANSWER- used to tap a component 4.what type of hammer would you use to give a really strong blow to a chisel? DRILL GAUGE MISSION

Today we went to the workshop , start making a drill gauge. we had this small thin piece of metal , then we inked it to do some measuring stuff on it and then we start cutting it according to our plan and now am in process of drilling different size of drills in it. DAY 3 Today we went to the workshop starting measuring the valves and then the pistons. we learned about the piston rings and the cool plugs and their purpose.At last we took out the crankshaft and was measuring the lobes.
